Ellen Allien’s second full-length for BPitch Control strips back the Berlin electro scene’s maximalism into taut, propulsive tracks built on crystalline synths and mechanical rhythms. At 130 BPM, Thrills channels early 2000s electro’s clinical precision—sparse, geometric, and hypnotic rather than maximalist. Released through [PIAS] France, the album captures Allien at her most restrained, letting each bleeping element breathe in the negative space.
