About This Release

The Bravery’s self-titled debut on Loog Records revived post-punk urgency for the mid-2000s new wave revival, channeling angular guitars and synth-driven energy with the swagger of early-80s new wave filtered through contemporary alternative rock sensibilities. Fronted by Sam Endicott’s commanding vocals, the band’s propulsive rhythms and atmospheric production proved the template for a generation of garage-influenced indie acts that followed.
