Portable Sunsets crafts a meditation on restraint across Mercy, their Magical Properties debut that lets silence do as much work as sound. Sparse ambient textures and field recordings unfold at glacial pace, building toward moments of almost imperceptible warmth—a sound design approach more concerned with negative space than resolution.
