<i>Salsa</i> doesn’t get more seductive than on Marc Anthony’s fourth LP. The opening ballad, “Y Hubo Alguien,” makes it clear that he has the romantic flair of a great pop singer, and he displays that throughout the album. The tempos never get too fast nor the arrangements too cluttered; this is music for dancing very close. The production also borrows from pop: “Me Voy a Regalar” features string synthesizers alongside horns and Latin percussion. Even the upbeat “Si Te Vas” keeps his voice upfront.
