Altai Sayan Tandy‐Uula

Huun‐Huur‐Tu’s collaboration with Andrey Samsonov on Altai Sayan Tandy‐Uula merges Tuvan throat singing with contemporary electronic production, a rare fusion released through GreenWave Records. The project channels the raw, overtone-rich vocal textures of traditional khöömei alongside modern ambient and experimental soundscapes, creating a bridge between ancient Central Asian vocal traditions and 21st-century electronic music. Samsonov’s production work respects the ceremonial weight of the source material while introducing subtle digital textures that expand rather than overshadow the vocals.
