About
The CCP Record Company (Pty) Ltd. ("Clive Calder Productions", founded by future Zomba founders Clive Calder and Ralph Simon) began as a production company doing ad hoc work for EMI South Africa and Teal Records in 1972. The following year CCP signed a P & D deal with EMI Music South Africa (Pty) Ltd., and in 1978 the company was sold to EMI. Also acknowledged on some releases as CCP RECORD CO. Today, CCP is a wholly owned subsidiary, specialising in the recording, development and marketing of domestic artists.
