German independent record label from Hamburg. Label Code: LC 9283 / LC 09283 Founded by former magazine journalist Alfred Hilsberg. Name variations on releases include: Zickzack Platten, ZickZack, Zick Zack, Zickzack Schallplatten, etc. The label specializes in avantgarde, punk and new wave. Mostly active within the eighties and occasionally still is. Beside now international known bands as Einstürzende Neubauten and many punk-related bands there have been various electronic releases of mostly experimental character. There exist certain springoff's as What's So Funny About.., Cashbeat, Scratch 'n' Sniff. Trivia: ZZ 24 was supposed to a release by / or called "Das Doppelte Lottchen" (according to an ad in Sounds 2/81)
