Reissue series of best-selling jazz albums mainly from the Verve/MGM, Mercury/Emarcy and ABC-Paramount catalogs of the 1950s and 1960s. The series was established in 1997. The releases are given what Verve Records describe as a "meticulous restoration of the original master tapes and 20-bit digital transfer". Later issues claim to be "High resolution, 96 kHz, 24-bit digital transfer". On most releases bonus tracks, alternate takes, singles versions, and even studio conversations are added to the original album tracks. Each reissue is packaged with original LP cover art and liner notes, and new essays and previously unavailable photos. The series art is directed by Patricia Lie and Hat Nguyen.
