Beside Dutchess and Trojan (the latter of which became the catalyst for the formation of the famous UK-based Trojan Records), this label was run by Arthur "Duke" Reid who also owned the Treasure Isle Recording Studio on Bond Street, Kingston. In the UK Treasure Isle was a subsidiary of different labels: TI 7001-7049 as a subsidiary of Island Records TI 7050-7056 as a subsidiary of Doctor Bird TI 7059-7074 as a subsidiary of Trojan Records.
