1970s-1990s Christian record label from Houston, Texas. Started in 1976 by [a2361401], who was joined by Wayne Donohoe in the trial and error process of building the label. Star Song had a distribution deal in place with [l1221740], but Tempo, Inc. went bust. After a four-month hiatus distribution was taken over by [l326667] for short while, until Star Song brokered a deal with [l268297] in 1983 that was to last until 1986/7. [l20179] and Star Song joined forced and founded [l336124] that handled distribution from 1987 to 1990. Star Song's parent company Jubilee Communications, Inc. was purchased by EMI Music in 1994. In 1998 all Star Song artists were transferred to Sparrow and the Star Song label would only be used for reprints and special issues.
