About

German label. Label Code: LC 2794 / LC 02794 Spiegelei (Fried Egg) was the "progressive" label established by (Stuttgart) in 1971, as their answer to labels like or . Uniquely Spiegelei releases rarely bore the label name (sometimes only on the spine, that was until the label was re-designed in the 1980s), although many of its covers had a recognisable style. Spiegelei's roster included two prime talents of Krautrock: Kraan and Hoelderlin, a lot of international jazz fusion, and many albums that are now collectable obscurities like the Conny Plank produced Aamok releases, Brainstorm and Eulenspygel albums, etc.
