Sub-label of SPV GmbH

15 releases 1984–2004

About

SPV Poland was started in 1990 as a division of the German company SPV GmbH, with the focus of their catalog being Polish editions of releases from Western European labels, such as Who's That Beat?. They gained attention for being the Polish label of The Legendary Pink Dots, re-issuing much of their back-catalog and also releasing some compilations exclusive for the Polish market. In 2002, label manager Igor Kurowski bought SPV Poland from the German parent company and changed the name to Big Blue Records. Despite the name change, much of the back-catalog remains available.
