Canadian label founded by Dominique Zgarka and John Bennett in June 1980. Product was distributed in Canada by Trend Records (MB, ON, Atlantic), Deejays (SK, AB, BC) and Downstairs Records (Québec). Rio also acted as a distributor for Downstairs Records products in Canada outside of Québec.
