About
The RCA Victor Silver Seal label was a short-lived budget label to reissue recordings of the mostly standard classical repertoire previously released on the Red Seal label. Many of the Silver Seal reissues were by lesser-known performers, but several well-known Red Seal artists such as Fritz Reiner, Charles Munch, Eugene Ormandy, the Guarneri Quartet and Julian Bream had recordings reissued on this label. Silver Seal releases were on CD and cassette only and contained no liner notes.
