One of the first and most important labels to record and distribute the folk and newly composed folk music of Finland was Olarin Musiikki. Under the direction of Timo Närväinen, this small independent label led the way in making the music of Finland an international phenomena. These recordings, old and new, stand the test of time, present important young artists and famous artists from the previous generation.
