Started in Seattle in 1985 by local promoter and DJ Ed Locke and named after radio personality Nasty Nes Rodriguez and Sir Mix-a-Lot. The label originally started with hip-hop acts then went on to sign West coast synth-pop acts and the ocassional punk band. Now defunct after being purchased by Ichiban Records during both labels’ final year of existence.
