Each track (program) in this series was to be broadcast for one week, and spanned over a decade with approximately 1450+ numbered programs between the different variant series editions. Most had specific dates for broadcasting by radio stations willing to participate and broadcast the programs, as shown on the labels or covers. The program contains 'NASA RADIO PRESENTATIONS' editions:- 1. NASA AND YOU 2. NASA Audio News Features 3. NASA Space Notes 4. NASA Special Report 5. NASA Space Story The media shipped to broadcasters was a mix of vinyl records, reel to reel tapes and cassettes. They were mailed in a bespoke shipping Radio Presentation box. NASA 'Space Story' editions were narrated by Willard Herman Scott, Jr. Willard Scott (born March 7, 1934 - died September 4, 2021) was an American weather presenter, author, television personality, actor, clown, comedian, and radio personality. Known for his TV work on the Today show as weather reporter and as the creator and original portrayer of Ronald McDonald, a clown character used as the primary mascot of the McDonald's fast-food restaurant chain. Employed by NASA to conduct TV interviews and the narration of interviews for the NASA Radio Presentations & NASA Space Story spanning from the Apollo Era to the Space Shuttle Era. "The Space Story" was a radio program aimed at educating the public about NASA's discoveries in the field of Space Science as well as their technological achievements in other areas. These included interviews from NASA Adminstrators, Astronauts and Scientists from the various NASA centre's across the US to inspire the global public and maintain government financial support for its space programs.
