About
Swedish record label owned 50% by Mariann Grammofon and 50% by Lionheart International. The company was founded in the fall of 2002. The CEO since 2002 is Maria Ljunggren Molin (also CEO of Lionheart) and the chairman of the board since 2006 is Jonas Siljemark (CEO of Warner Music Nordic). The company is headquartered at Nytorgsgatan in Stockholm. Warner Music and Universal Music take turns (every other year) with distribution. The company was founded in 2002 after Lionheart received 11 entries for that year's Swedish Eurovision Song Contest. Alf Rudin, CFO of Lionheart, suggested a collaboration with Bert Carlsson's Mariann Grammofon, which led to the two record labels starting to collaborate within the framework of M&L Records AB. In all years from 2003 to 2014, M&L Records held the most rights to the Melodifestival entries and was thus able to release the annual Melodifestival album with the 32 entries.
