About

France Sublabel of New Rose Records created by Louis Thévenon (co-founder of New Rose Records) in 1987 for more new wave/electronic/industrial sounds. The label had its moment of glory between 1989 and 1991 with the so-called "Touching Pop" movement and its three (then four) main bands (Little Nemo, Asylum Party, Mary Goes Round and later Babel 17). Louis Thévenon left the label in 1991 to found Single KO.. Lively Art continued after his departure (from ARTY 35 onwards).
