Inelco
About
Belgian Dutch company established in 1957 by ex-employees of the Belgian Fonior (Brothers Goemaere) and the Dutch Dureco (Brothers Brandsteder). Inelco (International Electronic Company) had offices in Brussels and Amsterdam. Started as an electronic company, only 20% of its business was the distribution of records. From 1957 on it distributed the records of RCA, WEA, Ariola amongst others. By the late 1970s most major record companies had their own distribution channels and only the smaller labels like Stiff Records or Safari Records were left. In 1983, Inelco went bankrupt and was remodeled into Indisc (Inelco Disc). Please, enter as Record Company when other label logos are present on release.
