Downtown Music, LLC is a global, independently owned music services, distribution and publishing company which operates Downtown aka Downtown Records, Downtown Music Publishing, Downtown Music Services, and Downtown Music Studios, among other things. Downtown was founded in January 2006 by Josh Deutsch, former Senior Vice President of A&R at Virgin Records, Terence Lam, and John Josephson. Offices are located in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Universal Music's Fontana initially distributed Downtown Records and had a joint venture with Atlantic Records before creating its own global distribution networks, including Fuga (5), which it acquired in February 2020.
