Label and publishing company established by Frédéric Leibovitz and Jean-Michel Gallois-Montbrun in 1975. Frédéric Leibovitz had a long history in music, with Editions Chappell from 1963, copyrighter with Barclay, Editions Vogue, and others before working for Philips and signing up acts like Aphrodite’s Child, Vangelis, Alan Stivell, etc. Cézame was largely a folk label. For their rock and experimental releases they started up , and later in cooperation with RCA established the Koka-Média library music label.
