UK-based soul, funk and jazz dance reissue label; name derived from Beat Goes Public. Label Code: LC 5502 / LC 05502 The initial label heads were DJs Baz Fe Jazz and Gilles Peterson - the name came from their initials but was dubbed Beat Goes Public - until their departure in the early 1990s. Russ Dewbury was in charge for most of the 1990s. Current label head is Dean Rudland.
