Label Code: LC 0115 / LC 00115 Initially specialising in "British music played by British artists", it soon became a label primarily specialising in spoken word recordings and other esoteric or commercially marginal material. They also released many classical recordings, focusing mainly on choral works. Owing to financial problems, Argo Record Company Ltd., was taken over by in 1957, but continued as a subsidiary. Please do not confuse with the American label.
