US label. Label Code: LC 10271 ALMO Sounds was launched in 1994 by Herb Alpert & Jerry Moss, former owners of A&M Records. The label was distributed through Geffen in the US, Pinnacle in the UK, MCA in Europe, Festival in Australia, and Pioneer Music in Japan. US distribution changed to Interscope in 1998. In 2000, Almo Sounds was sold to Universal and remains an imprint label.
