The ABC Television Center is a lot containing several televisions studios in Los Angeles, California, USA. It was renamed to The Prospect Studios in 2002. The facility served for more than fifty years as the West Coast headquarters of the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). The LA television station KABC-TV, owned by ABC, was located there from 1949 to 1999. In 1913, the Vitagraph Studios started in Prospect Avenue, the site was expanded in 1920. In 1925 it was sold to the Warner Brothers and named The Warner East Hollywood Annex. "The Jazz Singer", the first film using synchronised sound, was partially shot there, using the Vitaphone process. In 1948, the facility was sold the ABC. The studios were re-equiped for television production and named the ABC Television Center. In 1996, ABC became part of The Walt Disney Company. It was renamed to The Prospect Studios in 2002. The "Stars of Jazz" TV show, running from 1956 to 1958, was recorded at the ABC Television Center.
