About
# Vampyr
Vampyr emerged in the late 1970s as a collaborative project centered around pioneering electronic music figures Holger Czukay and Conny Plank. Based in Germany, the group represented an experimental fusion of synthesizer-driven soundscapes and avant-garde production techniques that pushed the boundaries of electronic music during the era.
The partnership brought together two influential producers whose combined expertise in studio innovation and electronic instrumentation created a distinctive sonic palette. Their work during the early 1980s contributed to the development of experimental electronic and krautrock-influenced sounds that would influence subsequent generations of electronic musicians.
