Harrison Stafford is a cornerstone in the fusion of reggae and electronic music, best known as the founding member of Groundation. Since the band's inception in the fall of 1998, alongside Marcus Urani and Ryan Newman, Stafford has been at the forefront, blending his skills on guitar and drums with his distinctive vocal style. Under his guidance, Groundation has evolved into a revered name within the reggae and electronic music scenes, celebrated for their innovative sound and spiritual depth.
In addition to his work with Groundation, Stafford played a pivotal role in the music industry by co-founding Young Tree Records in 1999, a label instrumental in releasing Groundation's groundbreaking first album. His dedication to the genre is further evidenced by his academic contribution, having taught the first course on the History of Reggae Music at Sonoma State University between 1999 and 2001.
