Czech musician and guitarist Joe Karafiát has built a diverse career spanning multiple decades and musical landscapes. After relocating to London in 1980 and later settling in Canada, he collaborated with various international artists and co-recorded material with fellow Czech musician Vratislav Brabenec. Following his return to Prague after the Velvet Revolution, Karafiát became an integral member of the experimental rock collective Garage and later joined the legendary avant-garde group The Plastic People of the Universe in 1997.
In 2014, Karafiát stepped into electronic production with his debut EP *Zodiak*, produced by Boris Carloff, marking a new chapter in his artistic evolution. The project showcased his willingness to explore contemporary electronic soundscapes while maintaining the experimental ethos that has defined his career across rock, avant-garde, and electronic territories.
