Andy Parle is a drummer and percussionist best known for his work with Liverpool-based electronic rock band Space. Joining the group in 1993, Parle became a core member of the outfit that would define the Britpop era's more experimental edge. With Space, he contributed to the band's signature blend of electronic textures and rock instrumentation, helping shape their distinctive sound across multiple studio albums and live performances.
As part of Space's rhythm section, Parle played on the group's most celebrated tracks including "Female of the Species," "Me and You Versus the World," and "Avenging Angels"—records that showcased the band's innovative approach to combining dance-influenced production with traditional rock elements. Signed to Gut Records from 1995 onward, Space's music demonstrated how electronic and organic instrumentation could merge seamlessly, a philosophy that resonated throughout the mid-to-late 1990s UK music scene.
