About

# Machinery

Stockholm-based industrial act Machinery emerged from Anders Karlsson's decades-long exploration of electronic music, with the project formally launching in 1992. Blending the abrasive energy of punk with industrial and rhythmic noise aesthetics, Machinery carves a distinctive sonic territory that bridges EBM, power electronics, and experimental electronic music. The project's signature sound combines obsolete analogue equipment and distortion-heavy processing with contemporary production techniques, creating a raw, confrontational approach to electronic music that draws inspiration from pioneers like Cabaret Voltaire, SPK, and Skinny Puppy.

Machinery's work stands as a vital contribution to the intersection of industrial music and electronic experimentation, maintaining an uncompromising commitment to sonic aggression and textural complexity. The project continues to push the boundaries of rhythmic noise and industrial electronics, delivering performances that showcase the visceral potential of both vintage and modern sound design.
