Stockholm-based industrial act Machinery emerged from Anders Karlsson's decades-long exploration of electronic music, with the project formally launching in 1992. Blending the abrasive energy of punk with industrial and rhythmic noise aesthetics, Machinery carves a distinctive sonic territory that bridges EBM, power electronics, and experimental electronic music. The project's signature sound combines obsolete analogue equipment and distortion-heavy processing with contemporary production techniques, creating a raw, confrontational approach to electronic music that draws inspiration from pioneers like Cabaret Voltaire, SPK, and Skinny Puppy.
