About
# Falling James Moreland
Falling James Moreland is an American musician and guitarist from Los Angeles who emerged from the city's punk and post-punk scenes in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He initially performed with the punk band the Mongrels (1978-79) before co-founding the Downers in 1980 alongside guitarist David Roback. That same year, he formed the Leaving Trains, establishing himself as a creative force in LA's underground music landscape.
Though his primary work spans punk and alternative rock rather than electronic dance music, Moreland's contributions to Los Angeles' independent music scene during the post-punk era helped shape the city's diverse sonic identity during a pivotal period in American underground music.
